Due to exceptional demand for its services Butterfield Fulcrum Group (Ireland) Limited is seeking a Fund Accountant to work in its Dublin office based in the city centre. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, fast growing organisation.

The successful applicant will work closely with a Client Relationship Manager to provide excellent service to BFG clients. The role involves working on funds with a variety of deliverables, daily, weekly and monthly

Core responsibilities:

• Reconciliation of cash and security transactions.
• Pricing portfolio’s including Equities, Options, Futures, Fixed Income, OTC’s and Forwards.
• Responding to client queries in a timely and efficient manner.
• Preparation of SAS70 compliant daily, weekly and monthly files.
• Assist in preparation of audited Financial Statements and annual audit.
• Preparation of reporting for the Regulatory authorities

The successful candidate should:

• Have a minimum of one years experience in the administration of Hedge Funds.
• Third level qualification (minimum 2.2 degree), qualified or part qualified accountant or other relevant qualification.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of software applications.
• Have a working knowledge of Bloomberg.
• Be able to demonstrate an understanding of funds, fund structures, fee calculations, trading strategies, financial instruments and fund offering documentation.

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

• Performed a similar role.
• Have worked with Advent Geneva.
• Candidates will be required to attend for interview. Candidates will also be required to sit an excel based case study and industry knowledge test.

Compensation

This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, fast growing organisation The successful applicant will work as part of our team of Senior Client Relationship Managers servicing European and US based clients. The role involves managing multiple client relationships within BFG’s Global Operating Model. Each Senior CRM is the single point of contact for each client, which requires the Senior CRM to work closely with staff in our India (Bangalore) and Canada (Waterloo) offices to supervise all elements of the services that BFG provides.

The successful candidate should:

Have a minimum of Five years experience in the administration of Hedge Funds.

• Possess a recognised accounting designation, MBA, CFA or other relevant qualification.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of software applications.
• Have a working knowledge of Bloomberg.

The successful applicant will work within the Corporate Secretarial Department reporting to the Global Head of Compliance and will assist the Corporate Secretarial Department in all corporate secretarial matters.

Core responsibilities:

• Organising Board and Committee meetings.
• Organising Annual General Meetings (AGM’s).
• Creating meeting agendas.
• Collation and distribution of Board Packs.
• Liaising with Board of Director’s and service providers.
• Attending Board of Director meetings and AGM’s.
• Drafting minutes of Board of Director meetings and AGM’s.
• Drafting written resolutions.
• Ensuring that entities under Administration comply with their Memorandum and Articles of Association.
• Ensuring the timely filing of regulatory and statutory returns.
• Instructing / liaising with external counsel, regulators and other third party service providers.
• Advising on corporate governance matters.
• Referring matters to the Legal team where required.
• Assisting with the establishment of corporate entities.
• Providing advice on liquidation of corporate entities.
• Informing the Company of changes in ongoing regulations and legislation.
• Providing ongoing training and development of staff (as required).

The successful candidate should:

• Be able to manage their time effectively, prioritise their workload, work to deadlines and work on their own initiative.
• Must be confident, with the ability to deal with all levels of the business and also to deal with Board of Directors. They must also have tact and discretion.
• Should be ICSA Qualified / Nearly Qualified with at least 1 – 2 years experience in corporate secretarial within the funds industry.
• Candidates will be required to attend for interview.

Compensation

Salary – €28,000 to €32,000 – depending on experience.
